Tried 2.5.4500 and 2.5.4501. With both, an error appeared regarding hotkeys conflicting. This was solved by the action listed above of installing Visual C++ 2010 runtime. Not sure if the note was listed after the previous reviews but I have no issue. Start up Firefox on one desktop, and the same window is visible in the background (but inactive) on all desktops. Haven't tried it with anything else, but this is enough to make it unusable. I've reverted to 2.1. However, I do appreciate the work involved in producing Finestra, and I look forward to a revised Version 2.5.

Reviewed: 2.1 (Feb 08, 2012)

Rated 5 Stars (out of 5) - INCREDIBLY pleased with this software. It rivals OSX window manager for ease of use/options and blows Unity's away IMO. +1 for being able to tell programs where to live, very nice gui, EASY window movement (with hotkeys or mouse in desktop viewer), and mini-toolbar for navigation/current location. Was using VirtuaWin (which I liked), but this program is on another level. Highly recommend.
