Run as administrator applications follow when switching desktops

description

I have applications that I 'run as administrator', as I don't have admin rights on the computer I am prompted to run them using different credentials. When I switch desktops they follow, even when Program Rules are set that those programs are to stay on their respective desktops.

Unfortunately, there isn't really a good way I've yet found to deal with this. For now, I am treating this as unfixable. The best workaround that I can offer is to run Finestra as an administrator as well. You can force its launch as an admin by right-clicking its icon, selecting properties, and selecting "Run this program as an administrator" on the compatibility tab.

Thanks, this works although it's hardly ideal

When running Finestra as administrator, the taskbar icons disappear, and also my desktop icons disappear on all of my other desktops (not #1).

When you run Finestra as an administrator, switching desktops makes everything including your taskbar and desktop disappear? Do I have that right? I don't see how that's possible if you are just running the normal Windows desktop. Are you using a shell replacement or any kind of weird configuration?
