Finestra stops working when Refreshing List in Recover Windows

description

Quite regularly, a window will disappear after I move it to another desktop then immediately switch to that desktop.

The missing window doesn't appear to be in the Valid Hidden Windows list and when I click "Refresh List", Finestra dies a horrible death.

I don't know if this makes a difference, but when I select the missing application in Process Explorer and Window->Bring to Front, it doesn't seem to die as often. Doing so doesn't affect the visibility of the missing window; it just appears that it may make Finestra better able to refresh the window list.

After further testing, I'm not sure the bring-to-front does anything.

This issue happens most often with IM chat windows. The contact list is sticky, but the chat windows are assigned to various desktops. Originally, I'd thought that bringing the contact window to the front improved the chances of the Refresh List not causing Finestra to bomb, but I now see no reason to believe that helps.

It seems completely random.

I love Finestra but the Refresh List always causes a crash.

Can I assist in troubleshooting?
