Bug: VVDM switcher is not always on top of other windows

description

Sometimes the switcher is draw behind other windows, sometimes it is draw behind, but the mini-window-previews are drawn on top, and sometimes it is drawn on top, but it does not have focus, so commands like double-click to switch or escape to exit are ignored. In all cases, Alt-Tab can be used to give focus back to VVDM.

This seems to happen intermittantly, but perhaps more often (but certainly not always) with apps running in admin mode. I will try to get a screenshot of it when it next happens.

I have attached a screenshot demonstrating the bug. Notice how the SQL Server install window is on top of the switcher window, but strangely the preview for the explorer window is over the top of that?! It is as if the SQl install window somehow made it in between the layers of the switcher...

There are quite a few issues with windows running in admin mode. I have had this happen as well, although clicking a thumbnail window normally brings the switcher to the top correctly. I've tried to find information on managing windows with higher privileges, but there doesn't seem to be much information yet.

VVDM now tries to activate itself more than before, so we'll see if this issue continues in later builds.
