I run eclipse in Administrator mode because my server etc. are in the Program Files folder (Vista does not allow non-administrator writing to the Program Files folder). The eclipse application seems to be available on all the desktops as opposed to sticking to one desktop. Is there a fix for it?

Or is there a way to run VDM in administrator mode? Will that fix it?

Yes, making VVDM run in administrative mode should fix it. Try going into Program Files\Vista Virtual Desktops. Right-click on the main executable. Click Properties and go to the Compatibility tab. Check "Run as Administrator" at the bottom. Hopefully, it will now autostart as an administrator. Of course, Vista will have to pop up its UAC dialog, so it's a slight hinderance. That's the best solution I can think of. What language do you use Eclipse for (just out of curiosity)?

Java (Red Hat Developer Studio), Adobe Flex (Flex Builder) and a bit of ruby (Aptana - works for web page design too).
