0.6 RC fails to start on XP Pro 64 bit

I simply get a popup with the message "The application failed to initialize properly ...". I don't see any log files anywhere. How can I provider better feedback to diagnose this issue?

This means that you don't have the .NET Framework 2.0 installed. You can download it from the the "Optional Updates" section of the Windows/Microsoft Update website, or you can go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=0856eacb-4362-4b0d-8edd-aab15c5e04f5&displaylang=en and download it from there.
